Big Boy

Logan is growing up so fast. He is rolling from front to back and almost rolling back to front. He doesn't get a lot of tummy time because he spits up so much and usually ends up with his face covered in spit up because he got tired of holding his head up. This time he managed to keep his face pretty clean.

tulip farm

Here are some pics from the tulip festival. I have always wanted to go to a tulip farm and take beautiful pics of the kids amongst the flower, so I was very excited to go. Unfortunately my visions of grandeur didn't quite materialize. The picture of Noelle and Logan is the best picture I got of the kids and flowers. It was a chilly overcast day and the kids weren't really interested in looking at the flowers or getting their picture taken. They enjoyed playing on the big slide and the other little areas set up for kids with their friends. Well, we will try for a good picture again next year.

Thoughts of a five-year-old

Noelle keeps saying the funniest things and I keep forgetting to write them down. I finally remember a few of them so I wanted to blog them before I forgot.

Noelle has a new hairstyle now where I pull her bangs off her face. At church, someone commented that she looked like my sister, Krista. I told Noelle this and she said "I am like Aunt KristaJoy only smaller."

I got Noelle new boots with a higher heel. She put them on and said, "Wow, I feel like I am six!"

Talking in the car today about the rain and how God uses it to water the plants and trees. She asked "Does he have a giant watering can?" I laughed and she almost immeadiately said, "Just kidding, that's silly." as if she realized once she thought about it that obviously God didn't have a watering can and she was just trying to be funny.

POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wyatt is potty trained!!! We have been potty training him half heartedly for a little while and I finally decided to just put him in underwear and let the pee fall where it may. He did really well and only peed in his pants 3 or 4 times. He still uses a little potty on the floor but he can do it all by himself which is very helpful when I am stuck nursing. He even dumps his pee in the toilet and wipes down the potty.

Easter

This posting is a little late but I forgot I took these pictures on Easter. Since we were all sick with the flu we didn't go to church or get dressed up. The kids looked for Easter Eggs and I took the required picture of the baby on the easter grass.

Baby shower mirror

I have put up the mirror my wonderful friends and family made for my baby shower for Logan. It resides in our family room that is still awaiting a coat of taupe paint that will really make the mirror "pop". Ha ha. What am I, on HGTV or something?
I must brag that I have it up on my wall already. I thought it might take me, oh ... about 18 months or so to get it up. My friend, who shall remain nameless, has still not put hers up so I thought there must be some magic trick to it. But no, just 15 minutes and a tube of super duper glue. I even put the tiles on upside down the first time. So hopefully this post will inspire her to get hers done too and post a picture of it. (Another friend has one awaiting hanging as well but her baby was just born a few weeks after mine so she gets some leeway. They were sort of a trend in our group. A great way to celebrate subsequent babies who don't need a bunch of baby essentials.)
Let me know if you want to borrow my glue JK!!

who's who?

These are pic s of my 3 kids at about the same age. Don't they look almost identical? When they are awake they look fairly different but asleep they look alot alike. how funny. the first photo is logan, then Noelle and Wyatt. Sorry about the underlining. Don't know where that came from.

Happy Birthday to you!

Here are some pics from Noelle's birthday party. The girls had a ton of fun. They played Princess, Princess, Queen (Duck Duck Goose), Pin the crown on the Princess and Toss your Polly Pocket Princess into a Bowl (game courtesy of Gracie)

This post is so late because I wanted to ask Noelle some questions to be repeated every year on her birthday to see how they change as she grows up. If anyone has any good ideas for more questions let me know. These were the few that came to mind. I will surely add more over the years as she grows in comprehension and I can ask more in depth questions.

What is your name? Noelle Elyse Landolt
How old are you ? 5
What do you look like? A girl, a pretty girl.
Who are your friends? Audrey, Gracie, Madisen, Korina, (anyone else?) I think that’s all.

What is your favorite outfit? My Cinderella outfit and Aurora outfit and all my other princess outfits.
What is your favorite food/drink? Macaroni and cheese, juice.
W What is your favorite toy? Polly pockets
What is your favorite color? All the girl colors, pink, purple, turquoise,
What is your favorite TV show? My princess movie
What is your favorite game? Vsmile
What is your favorite thing to do with Mommy? Cuddle Daddy? Play Wyatt? Play Logan? Cuddle
What do you like about school? That we always do different things.
What is your favorite thing to do at school? Crafts
What don’t you like at school? I like everything at school, except for coming home.
What makes you angry? When people don’t share with me and when they don’t say nice things to me.
What makes you happy? Playing with my friends.
What makes you sad? That I hurt my knee when I fell and I cried.
What makes you excited? When my friends come over.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A princess a lifeguard
What do you think about God and Jesus? That they are special (why?) because Jesus is the father and they live in heaven.
Where do you live? In Mexico, kidding. I don’t know

Apparently we have some theological work to do. She really does know more than that, I have asked her before. She also knows where we live but it is fun to hear what comes out of her mouth. Her friend Kaitlyn who we talk about a lot lives in Mexico so I am assuming that is why she said that.

Well I cannot believe I have a 5 year old!!! 5 is definately a kid age. No longer little kid but legitimate kid. It does make me feel more mature in my motherhood to have actually raised a child to the ripe old age of 5. Although I must brag a little. I got a haircut the other day and the lady asked about my kids. I said I had 3 and the oldest was 5. She said" Wow, you must have gotten married really young!" I said "Not really, I was 21 and I am 30 now." She was shocked and couldn't believe I was that old. Apparently she was thinking I was a teenager when I got pregnant. So I need to hold on to this great discrepancy between my looks and my age for several more years when it will really be useful.
