Spring is in the air!

It is feeling a lot like spring out there this week. I am loving it. It is my favorite season. Not to hot, not to cold. Although I have a feeling this is to be short lived since it is still February but it is nice just the same.

Bath time

Logan loves the water. The other night we put him in the bath with the big kids and he was in heaven. He just floated around in the water with a very pleased look on his face. Since the water was deep for the big kids, his body was literally floating in the water with me holding up his head.

We have given up on the baby bath for Logan. It is such a hassle to store it, dry it and use it. Either I have to lean over the tub (totally uncomfortable) or have a clean kitchen sink to put it in (highly unlikely). So we now just take him in the shower with us which is quick and easy. You might think that a baby in the shower would be slippery, but he loves the water so much that he just lays in our arms without squirming. When it comes time for washing, I get a good grip on his thigh as he lays in my arm and lather the rest of him up. I think it is good training for having water in your face because at this age he just blinks the water away and holds his breath when I put him under the shower spray to rinse. No Hysterical screaming!! What do you know. I wonder how I can get Logan to teach Noelle and Wyatt not to scream hysterically when they get water in their eyes, or, horror of horrors, their ears!!

something new for you

Well I have been scolded for not posting anything new so here I am at 12:10am posting this for all my eager fans out there.

Noelle loves her baby brother! She loves to hold him and play with him. She will come up to him and pat him and say "You're so cutie!" about 10 times a day. She is always asking to hold him "like you and daddy do" which means with her hands under his arms as seen in the first picture. She also likes to have her picture taken with him as seen in the above sampling of the many pictures we have of them. Although I guess it is good thing we have so many pictures of them together. In the next few years, we will probably have to remind Noelle a few times that she really does love her baby brother when he eats her Polly Pocket shoes or tears up her artwork!

And I do have some new things to post once I get the pics off my camera. Don't give up on my blog yet!

Night Owl

The kids go to bed at 8 or so and when we go in to check on them about 9:30 or 10:00, Wyatt is frequently awake and sits up and says "Hi Mommy/Daddy!" as soon as we open the door. He is so adorable that we inevitably get him out of bed and let him come hang out with us. We are sometimes having popcorn or an evening snack and he gets to share it with us. It is a nice one on one time with Wyatt and since he is on his best behavior, knowing he is getting to do something special, we don't mind a bit.

Car Talks

We were having a conversation in the car and I used the word "brain". Noelle said, "Mommy, I have 3 questions. First, how do you spell brain? Second, what rhymes with brain and then what does brain mean? " All the important things one needs to know about a word. Noelle is always asking what words mean. Luckily this one was easy as opposed to words like annoying and frustrating.

Family lotion time

Here are the kids giving us foot massages. Noelle calls it "family lotion time". We call it heaven! Well they have a long way to go before it can be really qualified as a food "massage" but practice makes perfect. In a few years I may never have to pay for a pedicure again!

Happy 30th birthday!

Here I am with my 3 great kids. It is my 30th birthday today and I have reached all my goals in life. To be married and have kids. And I am married to a great man who loves me and the kids unconditionally. I have 3 wonderful kids and I am truly blessed.
